Gypsy`s Mediterranean Grill in Long Beach

This is a quaint little place with wonderful food. I need to eat gluten free, and I can eat delicious food here safely. There are 2 things that keep me from giving a 5-star rating: They are closed between 2:00 pm 5:00 pm on weekdays (and that's often when I prefer to eat ), and they do not have a designated parking area. Street parking close by is limited.

The most amazing Mediterranean food I have ever eaten! Just a short walk from the beach, Gypsy's is great stop for lunch or dinner. Large helpings, a casual but unique and trendy atmosphere plus the nicest staff including the owner herself! I wish I lived in Long beach and I could eat there more often. The traditional kabob with the yogurt sauce was amazing. You can choose lamb, chicken or steak. My only regret is not being able to eat her homemade baklava. Guess I'll just have to come back. Stay in or take out, it is worth a stop!

Food is delicious and service was excellent. My little Cairn terrier Riley was treated like a king, he was served a delicious chicken and rice bowl free of charge. They are obviously dog lovers.

Cozy small restaurant with kind staff and good food

The outside patio is very nice. The food mediocre. I had the Turkish chicken with rice and salad. The chicken was a little bit on the dry side. There was way too much rice and a tiny amount of salad with hardly any.

Excellent beef and chicken kebabs, small informal chic restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Perfect for patrons walking or biking to nearby beaches and pier. Parking spaces are far away and hard to find.

I came to this place for the first time. I love Mediterranean food. Very traditional decor. Loved it. Small place and very clean. The food is fairly priced for the quality and portion size. I ordered the Salmon Kabob plate and they served me a very generous portion of salmon. It was delicious. Rice and salad were good. I'm giving this place 5 stars even though the costumer service wasn't that great. I walked in and the waitress didn't acknowledge me, she didn't come over and offer me a seat and didn't bring me a menu. The owner did all of this. This is why I'm still giving this place 5 stars. He was very nice and i really liked the food. I recommend this place for this reason.

Very good Middle Eastern food, the beef filet was juicy and tender however the chicken was a little dry. The service was good, I recommend this place.

The restaurant is tiny and cozy. The food is spectacularly delicious, and they've recently began serving beer and wine. The meat is organic. I love everything on the menu! If the weather is good, you can sit on the patio in the back. I stop in here every chance I get. I've never been disappointed. And the pricing is extremely reasonable. Most meals are under $15.

First time here. Sister brought me. The food was great. Ill go again. I loved the salad mixed into the rice. The flavor was nit expected but really enjoyed

Delicious food. I had the lamb shank plate and it was very tender. One of the best lamb plates I have ever had. It was also on sale for only $14 vs the normal $16. The rice has lots of saffron that really improves the flavor. Rather low price for what you get. Calling ahead for reservation is recommended because it's a small restaurant. The falafel was not overcooked but very soft with lots of flavor. Baklava was not too sweet and covered with walnuts ( both good things). I will definitely return. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Best Mediterranean restaurant I've been too. A must try! A hidden gem in Long Beach. We tried a little of everything (koobideh, lamb shank and chicken kabobs) it was all very delicious. Definitely get the hummus too. You will be happy you did. Can't wait to come back!

I visit this place many times a year! This is my favorite place to dine. I visit this place many times. The cooking is very good, the staff is helpful and the rates are affordable. I enjoy going in this restaurant to have a decent lunch.

This was our first experience at this establishment and sorry to say it was disappointing. We ordered take out and picked it up. The Organic chicken kabob was very salty and dry. The rice was dry and low quality basmati rice. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Born in Casablanca Morocco this restaurant is the best down to earth authentic food. From the music to decor and atmosphere near the cost. Plates clean cups clean vibes nice and right. Be kind to Morocco. It’s a happy family owned business where you can feel real love In food and respect In the air. One review says it’s not clean-A lie! It is not obsessive clean like robots work there but it is free of dust and does not smell like cleaners with bleach. It’s is very upkept! ✨✨✨✨✨

The food was tough because Mediterranean food in general is usually good, but differs from one region to another.Istanbul Grill sets the bar (for me) in Southern California. Their rib eye kabob is the best. I bring that up because that's what I compare others to, including Gypsys.

Saturday evening and plenty of customers dining. The place is very small and rustic. Restroom was very small- tight. Some renovation would make the dining experience better... because the food was good. We had chicken kebabs, rice, salad, lentils, hummus and pitas bread. Everything was flavorful. Prices were average. Next time I'll order to go....

Love this place... Been coming here for over 14 years. With that being said... Get meat well done or med-well. I've had undercooked chicken twice... nothing 1 minute in the microwave won't fix but still. A good run if u ask me, 2 times in 14 years 👍. The minor changes they have made over the years is fine because the service and food is always amazing.

This place has awesome service and delightful menu. One of my favourite spots around town. The meals came out rapidly and the rates are fair. I recommend this place.

I went for my birthday (late lunch and early dinner) and had the most amazing meal. The grilled lamb was the best I’ve ever had! Kind of a bummer that they opened at 5pm but it was well worth the wait. The front patio was super cute and the inside is very picturesque!

Great prices and the food is outstanding! Cozy and romantic by the water. I'd suggest you make a reservation if you can as the dining area is quite intimate.

Very good freshly made food. The only complaint is the rice is cold and oily. It's like it was not cooked fresh. Not sure, but it was not good at all. The rest of the food is excellent and the owner is great! We haven't been here in a while just because of the rice. We'll probably come back and try something without rice next time.

Hit this place right before it closed. Usually I hate doing that, but daddio was hungry. Staff was really cool and the food was good. Hummus and lamb is the move here.

This place is an amazing gem! The food is soooo good!! Staff is friendly and they recently added 2 tables out front, so if you have a dog, you can ALL enjoy!

Eat food here. Get a kebab (chicken, beef, lamb, kubideh, whatever you like.) Or the lamb shank. Or split a 2-kebab plate and nivik to share if you want more veggies. Just go. Go. Eat it. Oh--also make sure to get some tabouleh. For multiple people, check out the take out & delivery special for a great value.

Slow service even when I was the only customer at the restaurant, Kebab came without tomato, less than usual rice was on the plate.

We absolutely love Gypsy's! The owner is amazing vary nice. I crave their food. The menu is vary healthy! I always get full with extra left over. Also a small delivery area and be sure of the hours of operation. Other then that the best Mediterranean food I've ever had!

Delicious Turkish and Curry chicken. Serving size of the meat could be a little bigger but it's very delicious.The berry hummus is really good, too.
